I’m under the impression that sincerity has lost all meaning these days.
If I ask someone if they are alright, it’s not a light hearted gesture, it means I genuinely care enough to listen if you want to talk.
If I say that you are beautiful, I’m not necessarily saying it because I want to get into your pants maybe I just wanted to tell you.
And if I say something and it sounds like it has conviction, why can’t someone drop off a perch and just have an honest, heart on your sleeve kind of conversation.
So much of my day to day life is taken up with facades, that I miss someone just being open over matters that could ultimately help someone in a deeper situation than one could fathom, and a conversation as small as a sincere talk over how your day was.
Sincerity shouldn’t be mediocre, it should be a footnote in every conversation you have.
